Poems by the Bard O'Bogmonie

John Wilson(Johnny) was born at Tomonie in 1892,one of a family of six children.

For many years he worked on the railway,in the signal box at Banavie and Mallaig.

In his spare time he made toys, and wrote poetry about anything and everything,

calling himself the Bard O' Bogmonie.

Many of his poems are well-known and have been published.

He died in 1980.

Most of his poems are about bygone times in Kilmallie.

KCC recently compiled a collection of his poems in a small book called "Passing Glimpses"which is available for sale for £2.50 from the Community Council.
